The weather is starting to get cold here in Baltimore so I whipped up a new hat for Henry. And he actually consented to wear it in the car to daycare one day last week.
It is the Basic Hat Pattern from The Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns by Ann Bud.
I used about 1/2 a skein of Farmhouse Yarns Lumpy Bumpy Yarn by Charlene. I love this yarn! I still have about 3 skeins of it left, in blue, green and toffee. I might make myself a hat next.
Actually it was less than 1/2 a skein. I made some icord ties that expand into a small triangle to fasten on to the hat. I'm thinking he won't always be so happy to wear the hat and the ties will help it stay on during the really cold weather. But I'll fasten those later if I need to.
A very quick and rewarding project.
